METALIC HALL

Activities for meat preparations are being carried out inside the hall. The hall’s divisions are various and they have to obey a severe flow sheet required by the service instructions and the European standards regarding the hygiene of the products, of the workers who serve the technological process, among which we mention: row material storage (frozen carcass), processing rooms, storage rooms of finished products, smoke producing rooms, sanitary filter for the personnel, control rooms, offices.

The hall has two openings of 18 m each and 14 bays of 6 m. The structure of the hall structure presented simplified in pictures is the following: sleeve foundations, 3 rows of reinforced concrete columns, metal constructions, purlins of C profiles and X-bracings. The resting way of the metal constructions on the concrete columns offers them an enhanced stability, both for their assembling and exploitation.

The metal construction’s gravity center is under the deck bearer. In order to eliminate the efforts induced by the temperature variation, the holes of the metal plates of resting from the marginal, longitudinal axes have been properly ovalized. The hall is equipped with docking systems.

Problems during the execution: on different zones very old paddings have been intercepted, which haven’t been observed trough the drilling of the geotechnical study. Diggings have been executed until the reaching of the appropriate foundation ground. The foundations of the project have been kept, under them, in the paddings’ zone, concrete ingots completion has been executed, with a larger surface as the one of the sleeve foundations. The completion ingot has been built in the good coating approximately 25 cm.

The hall’s structure represents: 2 openings of 18 m, sleeve foundations, prefabricated columns, metal constructions and metal purlins, X-bracings, etc. Architecture: isolating panels for the roof and walls; metal doors and windows. Advantages: stability at horizontal actions (earthquake), large surfaces with metal constructions of 36-40 m per opening.
